THE CIRCUIT

The church is a part of the South East District and a member of Churches Together in Maidenhead www.churchestogether.bun.com and is just one of the 13 Churches that make up the Thames Valley Methodist Circuit - covering Slough (6), Windsor (3) and Maidenhead (4).

The other three Maidenhead Churches are:

St Marks Crescent Methodist Church is in a residential area on the western side of the town. Built in 1953 it was extensively refurbished in 1993. Sunday worship is at 10.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m on the 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings of the month. It has an active membership of 72. Woodlands Park Methodist Church, also situated in a residential area on the western side of the town, was built in 1934. Extensively refurbished in 1989, it underwent a "facelift" in 2000 providing better acoustics by removal of the false ceiling. It has an active membership of 34. Sunday morning worship is at 10.30 am which caters for a separate young church. The sacrament of communion is celebrated once per month. There are no evening services at present. Cookham Rise Methodist Church is situated close to the picturesque village of Cookham about three miles from Maidenhead town centre. Built in 1904, the church serves a village community; its membership numbers 34. Sunday morning worship is held at 10.30 am with facilities for young church and evening worship is at 6.30 pm. The minister is the the Rev'd Barbara McIntivey (01628 626533 or revbarmc@aol.com)

Burnham Methodist Church which is located east of Maidenhead on the outskirts of Burnham. Built in 1897, the church serves a village comunity; its membership numbers 30. Sunday morning worship is at 10.30 am and an evening service at 6.30 pm with an early start "shopper's service" at 9.15 am once per month. The sacrament of communion is celebrated once per month at both morning and evening services. The minister is the Rev'd Dr Emmanuel Jacob(01753 522977).
