In order to adhere to Government guidelines, there are number of measures that we’ve put in place to ensure your safety when you attend services at High St.
Before you come
Please register for the service using ChurchSuite – choose the service from the Worship Services page and follow instructions. You don’t need to have a ChurchSuite account to register. Why are we asking you to register?
Please also take a look at the Personal Risk Assessment which you can use to make an informed decision about whether to attend or not. This is for your use – we don’t need you to submit this to us.
What to expect when you arrive
Wear a face covering
You must wear a face covering when on the premises, unless you’re exempt. Please bring your own face covering.
More information about face coverings and exemption guidelines
Follow the one-way system
Please enter through the front door, follow the arrows and exit by the choir side door.
Temperature Checks
When you arrive, a steward will check your temperature with a digital thermometer. Those displaying high temperatures may be refused entry.
Sanitise your hands
Please use the automatic hand sanitisers both when you enter the building and before you leave.
Sanitisers are located next to all entrances.
Cold outside? Wear warm clothes
Doors to the church may be open during the service to increase ventilation. Therefore, please make sure you dress accordingly
During the service
Maintain social distancing
Please ensure you keep at distance between yourself and others.
Toilets
The ground floor toilets are available if necessary. We’re operating a one-out, one-in policy, so please ensure the toilets are vacant before entering.
Water
As the kitchens are not in use, please bring your own bottled water.
There will be no congregational singing
Although there may be music during the services, congregational singing is not yet permitted.
Offertory
Unfortunately, we can’t accept cash gifts at present. Please use online banking or ChurchSuite Donate for your gifts. Please speak to the Church Treasurer for more details
After the service
No refreshments
At present, we cannot offer refreshments after the service
Please leave by the marked exit
Move away from the doors to allow others to exit
Prayer
If you’d like someone to pray for you after the service, please ask a steward or the minister.
Why do you need to register for services?
Due to social distancing within the church we have limited capacity so it’s important for us to know how many people will be attending services.
We’re required to keep a record of attendees for NHS Test & Trace. If you would prefer your details are not recorded, please let us know before attending.
Please be aware that if you register for a service and don’t attend, you’re potentially stopping someone else from attending!
